• Procedure :Everting sutures from the fornix to just below the lash line with or without lateral tarsal strip 

Johns plication ( entropion operations )

• indicated in Retractors dehiscence without lid laxity
• Usually reserved for recurring cases

• Procedure: Reattaching and plication of lower lid retractors via subciliary incision.

lateral tarsal strip ( entropion operations )
• Indicated in Lateral horizontal lid laxity or generalized laxity 
• procedure: Lid shortened laterally and elevated and reattached to the lateral canthus and periosteum and lateral orbital margin 

Wedge excision ( entropion operations )

• indicated in Lid laxity without tendon laxity 
• Pentagon wedge full thickness excision

• indicated in Lid laxity with redundancy of skin

• procedure: Tarsal fracture with everting distal tarsus

• indicated in Severe loss of posterior lamella
• procedure: Tarsal fracture + limited separation of lamella and graft suturing to posterior lamella

• procedure: Everting sutures +Full thickness lid split+ Wedge excision laterally to shorten the lid

Entropion

Entropion • Inward turning of eyelid margin against the eye. • It may produce an ocular foreign body sensation, secondary blepharospasm, ocular discharge, epiphora, conjunctival metaplasia, superficial keratopathy, and corneal scarring.

1. ENTROPION • Inward rotation of the eyelid margin. • Early procedures of entropion correction can be categorized as vertically shortening the anterior lamella, vertically lengthening posterior lamella& controlling lamellar rotation. • Anatomic approach started during mid 20th century. • Lower lid retractor system- Deroetth & jones et al. Orbicularis function- Dalgleish, smith& tse et al. Tarsal plate& canthal tendon physiologies -Benger and musch, shore, Liu and stasior. Posterior lamellar substitutes/grafting-Silver& others.
2. CLASSIFICATION: • Involutional entropion • Cicatricial entropion • Acute spastic entropion • Congenital entropion. SYMPTOMS AND SIGNS: • Ocular foreign body sensation • Secondary blepharospasm • Ocular discharge • Conjunctival metaplasia • Superficial keratopathy • Corneal scarring.
